Providence St. Joseph Health
Hands Around the Table Cookbook Project.
Taken from pg. 2 on Why This Book, Why Now...
Each year, the staff and community of Providence St. Joseph Health devote themselves to a mission project – a unified effort to deepen the connection to our mission of helping the most vulnerable populations. This year, we’ve chosen to support teen suicide awareness and prevention. Knowing that adolescent suicide is often motivated by feelings of depression and isolation, we were inspired to focus on the table as a center of healing and community. We pooled our most treasured recipes to create a collection of dishes that can be prepared and enjoyed with loved ones. The money raised from this project will augment the funds that Providence St. Joseph Health has earmarked for teen suicide prevention programs.
